The Rugby Thread - Part Deux

Do you think there is any chance that the Loftus ticket pricing could also drop to insult people who have already overpaid and to not have a half full stadium, some time before the match?
For all events it is normal for the prices to fluctuate. You always get early bird specials, regular pricing, and then discount or even heavy increas if it sells out.

It's not a insult when you willing participate in any transaction.

Wait and see, usually they drop at the end of the week if not selling like hot cakes.

Interesting side that was selected. Rassie never gets boring lol. Still a bit worried that we don't have lock cover. I know PSDT & Dixon could cover but I would have preferred a specialist lock.

Cobus and Vinny are there as a back up if you want to call it that.

Expect a lot more lineout training this week from all of them.

Lock is a genuine problem. Nortje can't go on like this forever and a cold Lood and Mosterd vs the All Blacks is not ideal.

Eben is out with concussion again which is worrisome, it's been the trend the last two seasons.

Maybe time to rope in Jean Kleyn for a while.

Kleyn also injured.

anyone knows how serious Ox's injury is or how long he will be out for?
Eben Etzebeth, who suffered a head knock last week in training ahead of the England visit, is among a group of key Boks on course to play the New Zealanders.

"Eben needs some proper time off because of concussion, and he has a history of concussion, so I don't think Eben will play in these incoming matches (the Nations Championship games against Scotland and Wales)," Erasmus said.

Etzebeth's ongoing concussion issues are a worry — at the Sharks he missed large chunks of the United Rugby Championship season. Etzebeth last played a full game in November, the Test match against Wales in which he was red-carded for eye-gouging and suspended for 12 weeks.

"We are targeting Argentina for Eben's return (a friendly on August 8 in Buenos Aires). The same goes for Franco Mostert (who was injured against the Barbarians).

"Lood de Jager might be ready next week for the Wales game in Durban — he is closer than the others."

Erasmus said there is a growing chance that Sharks wing/centre Ethan Hooker might make his comeback from a shoulder injury in the Kings Park match next week.

"Ox Nche, Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu, and Morne van den Berg should all be ready about three weeks before New Zealand arrive (in mid-August). Siya Kolisi will also be ready next week in Durban," Erasmus concluded.
