Xbox Series X / S

No, that was a K@k buy, but at the same time, you invested so much that you almost can't let it go now.

They are banking on the yearly COD sales to keep things ticking over and reading that statement from Asha, Candy crush etc

What the hell is Blizzard even doing anymore? Is there really that many WOW subscribers still?
wow was amazing until it wasn't we all know he tropes, reasons and treasons.

Hearthstone and Diablo 4 still making money. But to make back that $70bn or whatever they'll need a lot more than those two and COD...

At this stage...even if Microsoft had all the money in the world and could buy Sony and Nintendo they will still find a way to @#$@# it all up.

Think that was part of the problem. They tried to buy their way in with Acti/Blizz

FCC and EU said Naa aah, you have to share.

So their plans for world domination died on the spot.

I don't like people getting laid off, BUT...

"I followed that with leading the team who created our Cloud Gaming product. I am a firm believer that all entertainment will eventually become streamed to you wherever you are."

This guy must really hate the word, "perpetual". Now, this is certainly part of Microsoft's culture, and their employees are becoming indoctrinated by it. Sure, building accessibility is great, but to place emphasis on "all" isn't great.

XBOX Backward Compatibility is just null and void by the rest of his exiting statement.

People who don't want you to own anything, aren't nice people.

Also, what's up with all of the double spacing? I am seeing a lot of it in these posts.

AI double spaces?

Could have been worse - at least he didn't feel that way about the random and unnecessary copilot integration that crept through.

See what the Game Pass Bros did. Sies. The writing was on the wall. Xbox wanted a pool, and a pool is only that big, yet they bought everyone in, and 'everyone' yea to the subs.

Just like then, 'everyone', is again buying in on the story. Good guy campaigning is not good at all. Gamers never learn.

Nevermind that the messaging isn't all too organic. Yet in a world where AI gets questioned, bullschit still sells.

I am only glad that some studios are going back being independent... Lol, yeah, time will tell whether they will be independent.

Good on Larian never to have accepted the Xbox deal.

I think it’s the other way around actually.

Game Pass worked and it worked well, but it was a bandaid for everything else and just delayed this inevitable outcome.

It camouflaged the real issues because subscriptions equal predictable cash flow.

Formal writing from the good old typewriter days requires a double space after a full stop and a single space after a comma, so likely a generational thing.

We likely lost this because of **** line Twitter limiting characters, but it’s pretty standard long form.

****

By the way streaming doesn’t automatically imply you don’t own it.

Wait people aren't doing the space after commas anymore??

Like I said Twitter and general modern retardation has seen this fall by the wayside.

I mean people can’t even use full words any more…and they haven’t had the no full keyboard excuse for at least two decades now.

gg glws brb stfu wtf lol smd

People still use sms speak? In 21st century? Doesn't their auto correct cry, or sometimes fry like mine thinks.

Dude, us old ballies invented that sht back in the IRC/BBS days :P

Then again we had 78 key keyboards so there was that. <-- Part of the reason I still don't use num pads for numbers.

Yep, Gamepass was, imo, when this generation launched the best value product and could easily have beaten Sony IF and big IF they brought out 2-3 must have exclusives a year. Instead they kept on releasing half baked, bland and "inclusive" slop that nobody wanted. Eventually people had no reason to own a Xbox or keep Gamepass running.

Then they muddled the entire reason to own a Xbox.. Everything is an Xbox.. like what?

Just overall bad decision making but unfortunately it took MS too long to figure that out.
