The Rugby Thread - Part Deux

All the doping headlines are really hurting the springboks image.

If I was head of SARU I would introduce a lifetime ban to anyone that tests positive for a banned substance.

Is there any mention of the substance, could it perhaps be a doctor-prescribed substance, could it perhaps be something that was taken when he was injured or sick etc... I don't always believe it as simple as these clickbait headlines make it out to be.

Anabolic steroid apparently. If guilty what a stupid kid.

Scotland Team to face the Boks - :

(15-1):
Kyle Rowe; Kyle Steyn, Rory Hutchinson, Sione Tuipulotu (capt), Jamie Dobie; Finn Russell, Ben White; Jack Dempsey, Rory Darge, Matt Fagerson; Scott Cummings, Gregor Brown; Zander Fagerson, Ewan Ashman, Pierre Schoeman

REPLACEMENTS: Gregor Hiddleston, Rory Sutherland, Will Hurd, Alex Samuel, Josh Bayliss, Magnus Bradbury, Tom Jordan, Stafford McDowall

That's a decent team, I don't lie when I say I'm worried about this game.

Very good side against something of an experimental Bok combination.

Having said that, quite a trip between tests for Scotland. Loftus is just as challenging a venue to win at, as is 10bet Ellis Park.

Scotland's record against SA, in SA, isn't particularly good either. 0 from 7... Over all record, Played 30, Scotland 5, SA 25...

Glasgow, which is largely Scotland, has a mixed record in SA in URC. This season in particular they shipped plenty playing in the republic...

Looking forward to the match.

Loftus is a great venue, superb surface, knowledgeable crowd, great weather this time of the year, altitude a factor for some, plenty Bulls in the match day 23 will feel right at home... etc etc etc...

Who the hell calls it 10bet Ellis park.

Loftus has brand new stadium lights. Lets see what they look like

I think we in for a cracking game of rugby tomorrow evening.

TBH, this Scotland test is shaping up to be more of a spectacle than the 10bet Ellis Park test was. Looks like Loftus is hellbent on putting on a show.

If we were playing Scotland at Murrayfield I would be a bit concerned. Strong Scottish side coming off 6 nation wins against England and France and a credible away win against Argentina...

I wish I was going to Loftus.....

Only way they can beat us is with cards.

Not UNO or Snap cards lol

Edit: they look good on paper, but their pack will not be able to handle ours, thing about the Scot's is their starting team is always their best team, they have no real bomb squad if you want to call it that, no real world class replacements on the bench like we do.

If it's a scrumy game we win, no contest.

That's why I think they will try to avoid the tight play and go fast and loose.

They can play fast and loose but that means we know what exactly is coming - just need to get into the tramlines and follow the runner really.

When we scrum they are going backwards.

Their steriods discussion may be worth a listen.

Papier was a forget-me in the past, hope its not a repeat. Team is looking very stampkaar but we'll see
