Anybody signed up with Tymebank?

DM sent, but its just gonna go where the other 10000 tickets I always logged with you guys goes,

into the bin,

I have done all of the above, multiple times tried different cameras, and DO have a smart ID card,

selfie verification fails, tried different lighting, tried different angles, followed the instructions, updated the app, and everything you could possibly ask form me,

same error as before, Selfie verification failed NO OTP FALLBACK.
very frustrating experience, that is going to make me close down my account and go somewhere else.

maybe to a bank that isnt so anal about nonsense like this, and where the selfie feature isnt so aggressive.
Just thought I would remind you of this, to needlesly upset you for no reason

Haha, have fun.

put cash in your couch
I tend to put cash in a few places, the sunvisors of my cars, under the car seat, in the tiny gap between the seat and body, in my toolbox drawer, in the slits on the side of my desk chair, etc etc.

Not always voluntary though which makes discovering cash there a treat.

I only logged in once a month to male a payment. I skipped one month and when logging in my password again didn't work. Resetting it I got told internet banking is no longer available. I keep getting their spam messages to move over to the new app but I'm afraid if I do I'll get locked out as HA doesn't seem to have my photo and only one damaged fingerprint. So now I have R6.50 in an account I won't be using again.

An app only bank will never be my primary bank. I want to be able to use a full keyboard and mouse. Apps are for checking balances and maybe doing something else in an emergency,
I just now had to install that POS app on my banking phone (and old phone I keep for all the banking apps, I am not a walking ATM) and eventually managed to instruct it to close the goalsave so in 10 days' time I am no longer a customer.

Does Tyme guy still exist ?

I have an urgent TAX query, they x4 my interest earned! A seriously dumb mistake on the bank's side! :(

Tyme bank quickly replied to my query, sending me the IT3B certificate again. Clearly the staff didnt put the requirement nicely together! The data pushed to Sars, and what is stated in the IT3B certificate, differs day and night!

Sometimes I wish for semi clever service/support staff, that understand a basic request.

did you have to manually add each month's interest to verify?
No, I recall last year I had the same issue with TymeBank.

Tymebank IT3B certificate says R0 earned ( L O L ), but on SARS's side, it says R65 000 in interest on that account. I do know SARS cant help me, as the bank should fix and re-upload!

What I can say, dont start a FIXED deposit. That is where the MESS are! You can do better with just a goalsave, at 10%, vs fixed at 9%

I think no other firm beats TymeBank / GoTyme support.

They replied to me now with this : For queries with Tax Returns please contact SARS for further assistance

Yesterday, they gave me this (which is the correct message / action) : GoTyme Bank (*TymeBank): We've identified an issue affecting some IT3(b) certificates and we're working to resolve it. A correction is being sent to SARS, and we will send you an updated certificate as soon as possible.

Why cant they just think for 2 seconds! (honestly, and this same saga was on my plate last year doing my taxes), the SAME issue, so clearly they didnt learn

Good morning GoTyme clients.

Question, I see now on my ITB3 tax certificate, that you earn interest on the current account ? I have never seen any interest earned on the daily account. Any comments would be appreciated

I saw this as well. My guess is it's the bonus interest (difference between 6% and 10%) you get when you give 10 day's notice. Just a guess. Haven't done the calculations to verify.

Its actually correct. (As in a correct guess)

Today spend an hour on the phone with a consultant

I saw even goalsaves with incorrect data pushed to Sars!

Its just one big mess!

I asked the lady who phoned me, must I rather close my accounts, as the bank cant do basic things.

So how TymeBank see’s it. If you say wait 10 days, “your current account” will earn 4%

Seriously, just dumb logic!
