The official running thread™

No I didn't know about it until now 😩

My next one is the Nelson Mandela Marathon (I'm only doing the half).
Ah I had a family member ask me to do the 10k and I wasn't keen and now its around the corner and I want to do it haha 😅

haha yeah it sounds like a good one. I don't have anything after the Nelson Mandela one though, so if you know of any, post it here :D

Managed to get my hands on some Balega socks to try out. Still need to do some more testing, but it looks like they are indeed better than Falke. Looks like I'm into expensive socks now too.
I have some Versus ones. No blisters even on the toe I used to get one. They are a bit tight though, even though I took the biggest size that they says goes up to 14 (I'm size 11).

I don't like the texture of Versus socks. No blisters, they just don't "feel" right.

The Balega ones feel nice and soft and just sit more comfortably from the very start. Depending on the style they have varying levels of cushioning. I've tried the support ones so far and I'm impressed.

I'll get a pair and try it out :)

I was lazy yesterday and didn't go for a run. Felt fatigued so decided to skip it. I listened to my body yet I still feel guilty. And that's with 23km already clocked for the week.

I haven't done any runs this week. My shins feel a bit stiff so don't want to risk hurting them. Hopefully tomorrow or Sunday I can go for a run 🤞

Fibre has been down since Friday so haven't been doing updates. Finally got PC hooked up to LTE since there's still not ETA on a fix.

Did a 15K long run on Saturday. Was supposed to be a base run, but I tried to throw in 2K at sub 5:00 pace.

Today's run is cancelled though due to a huge thunderstorm and rain rolling in. It might be a blessing in disguise since my shins have been feeling a bit tender. They'll appreciate the extra rest.
