Scam... stay away. Look at solarwaysuppliers to gauge pricing. Generally if its cheaper than them, then I immediately question their legitimacy. An 8kw deye/sunsynk will not be cheaper than R20kdo you think thats a good price?
did they reply?I just replied to his email with that exact question - let's see what he replies with
no but I had a 100% increase in pawn spam this morningdid they reply?
20W x 24 hours = 0.48 units.I got a 12kw deye with a 16kw batt. It use about 10 units on the munic meter daily, but apparently that is for calibrition or something [about 20W on the software. Friends told me they simply switch off the mains. Going thru www it says keep on the supply. May I simply switch it off. Is it okay. The battery seems to last during the night.
10 units thats insane - it can affect certain meters - best to test, Mine is set to 0 now - I basically lowered it every week a little and checked if issues - untill i got to 0 - you can try if you notice issues up it a little if not you get to 0I got a 12kw deye with a 16kw batt. Yes, you may just turn the grid off.I got a 12kw deye with a 16kw batt. It use about 10 units on the munic meter daily, but apparently that is for calibrition or something [about 20W on the software. Yeah, not sure what's happening here. Some graphs would help. Maybe export is set on or something and the meter is counting those units as usage.10 units thats insane - it can affect certain meters - best to test, Mine is set to 0 now - I basically lowered it every week a little and checked if issues - untill i got to 0 - you can try if you notice issues up it a little if not you get to 0
but at 10 units a day yours is set quite high at 400watts

Our area had a brief power outage the other night, like a few seconds. Inverter kicked in fine to battery and waited for the set reconnect time before connecting back to the grid but when it did all the power just went out.
After about a minute or 2 everything came back again. I have no idea what happened as there are no errors or anything on the inverter, this happen to anyone else?
I've gotten that F18 OC on my Sunsynk before due to some wire shorting somewhere in my house. I've also had battery/inverter random issues when the rocker switch on my one Sunsynk battery started failing - don't know if you maybe have SS batteries? This happened 3 times on Friday evening again and the Eskom supply wasn't involved at all there. The inverter just dies for about a minute and the it comes back up. Made it to the garage on one instance to find the alarm beeping on it but it has zero error codes logged.
I've bypassed it now entirely, just contacted my installer to book somebody to come and look. I find it so weird that there are no errors logged at all. The last error was a F18 for overcurrent but that was stamped a few days prior to this, it maybe a clue but I'll have the installer take a look.
I have 3 x SS 5.5kWh packs. I'm pretty sure mine don't have a rocker switch, they have push buttons on the front, like this one:I've gotten that F18 OC on my Sunsynk before due to some wire shorting somewhere in my house. My 10kWh look the same, but there is a rocker switch in the middle top at the back (remove the top plate for easy access). Sometimes just switching the batteries off and on again using the rocker fixes it for a while, but in my case it got annoying to get up at 2 AM randomly when the inverter beeps at me, so I had to get my installer to send in the faulty battery for repairs.I have 3 x SS 5.5kWh packs. It could a bunch of things, so I'll first let the installer just do a check up on everything (make sure the connections are all still good, etc.).
I've never had to touch them before, except when I added the comms cable for Solar Asisstant.Just for information, the rocker switch is located under the panel at the top of the battery where the battery terminals and communication ports are.
I have three of these batteries and it is sometimes a bit of a pain to get them to fully power off. I then revert to using those rocker switches.
Just do it once when it gives issues and see if the issue stays away thereafterI've never had to touch them before, except when I added the comms cable for Solar Asisstant.
Are people regularly having to power cycle their batteries?
