The Workout and Fitness Thread

JUST KEEP GOING.
I'm still on free myfitnesspal, I'm slowly incorporating food tracking properly into my
UNIFIEDHEALTHPLATFORM®️™️
lol.

I still add data to my lowtech (google sheet) version. I've been slacking on working on my platform because I've been a tad overloaded

This has been an astronomically good year for me and my health. My lipids/cholesterol/liver/uric acid has all been brought into the green range.

My blood pressure was 140 odd over 80 odd. It now comes in at 120 over 70.

I also feel a lot better.

I am still on reta for now - started in middle of May, will chat to the doc about when to look at tapering off. The dose is at the bottom of the trials (4.5mg weekly), and I don't suffer any side effects from it. I have been getting regular bloodwork and inbody scans to check my muscle mass and I've been maintaining/increasing that. It helps that I'm hitting the gym at least twice a week and doing between 15 and 18 tons of volume.

I was already disciplined by that time having logged over 100 days of consistently hitting 1500kcal in eating and hitting the gym since March. So sure, some people will call it a "shortcut"... but hey, I'm the one doing the work and seeing the benefit... so whatevs.

**** is accelerating now and I've actually had to start eating a little more as my weight has started dropping a tad fast (sounds funny to say) when NORMALLY you need to LOWER your calories when your weight starts dropping... but my fatty liver is clearing up which means my liver actually is starting to do its job better.

I've also started training for the midmar mile for next Feb.

Looking forward to moving from obese to "overweight" lol.

You know you have reached your 40s when you do your annual doctors visit and leave with a script long enough to open a pharmacy lol. Making sure nothing bad happens. But I need to up my exercise game too.

LOL. I used to think that my posture is decent enough but apparently not. I am not remotely like this.

My posture isn't great and wall angels have been fantastic, and really help if you are consistent with them. I don't do the hinge that he does in the video though. Do them on rest day days, you can even do them with a wall sit/squat for a bit of thigh fry.

Fair enough. As for myself, I had never felt the need for this before as my posture is really alright and have never experienced neck/shoulder/back pain last 10-15 years. I was just looking for some stretches on YT and came across wall angels and just couldn't do it properly so I took it as a challenge.

I do thoracic stretch using foam roller twice a day as below and is really helping with wall angel progressions. Takes less than 5 minutes really, if that. At times, it just feels so nice but I am advised not to overdo it for more than 1 minute at a time.

I like this idea. If there was one resistance machine I would like at home it would be a compact version of a cable machine. This would be great for targeting different movements like you can with resistance bands but with a constant level of resistance throughout the full range of motion.
