Fraud or Farce? - Axxcess Fibre "Cancellation Fees"

As a 10+ year customer of Axxess, it was with some regret that I pushed (clicked actually) the button to terminate my relationship with them after a series of unpleasant interactions. The real stinger was an immediate R950 cancellation fee deducted from my credit card - the amount was wrong, it...

Help I think Telkom is ripping me off!

Ok I've got Telkom uncapped 1Mb internet and the bill is supposed to be like R518/pm. But they are billing me over R800 every month! That's WAY more than their displayed R369 price over here --> http://www.telkomsa.net/ And even when including the R149/pm line rental it doesn't amount to R820+...

Acer service rip-off and Rectron Incompetence

Having the misfortune of my dogs playing Frisbee with my vaio laptop and fetch with my Acer netbook I found myself in dire straits of requiring replacement screens and keyboard. First Rectron, they are just plain incompetent and subtract from the Sony name as being their service agents...

    LCD TV prices

I've read a review on the Register about the Samsung LED LCD 40" 7000 series TV (UE40b7000) for £1100. Locally, we can get the 6000 series 40" LED LCD Samsung (UA40B6000) for R19,999.00. Why so much more for a "older" model TV?

Letter to VWSA on new CITI Billabong Model

I got a promotional e-mail from VWSA regarding a "new model" in their CITI lineup. Needless to say, I'm no fan of VWSA still making this MK1 Golf piece of kuk, and briefly replied to the mail: Here is the 'very formal' reply I received from a Tatum Townsend:

    Sharp petrol hike on cards

I don't get why everything always 'inflates' with the fuel price hikes, but never 'deflates' when the prices come down - so if it goes up, we pay more, if it comes down, we pay the same, if it goes up again, we pay more again... Seems like a win situation for businesses.
