1-grid - i/o usage exceeded

Hi there ,

I have an ecommerce store running Woocommerce and Wordpress and off recent I keep getting a 508 error and my website experiences a lot of downtime. I am with 1-grid at the moment so increased my package to their X-Large Linux Hosting package but I still experience the same problem with a 508 error.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to solve this downtime? I get automated messages support desk without providing me with a solution.
I am allowed 2 mb i/o usage

Cpanel Resource usage says this:

You have reached the limits within the past 24 hours

• CPU resources limit was reached for your site
• I/O usage resources limit was reached for your site

Are you sure none of your images were hotlinked?

Make sure that you have a caching plugin installed and this will reduce the number of io’s

Have your tried raising a ticket with them to identify the cause of the limit being reached?

Perhaps have you considered hosting from a VPS if your I/O requirements are going to exceed what is available from shared hosting?
