If a guy gives me a lollipop in a letter, Ill show him what he can do with it. Girls like to be spoilt. There is NO such thing as down to earth, deep down all women want to be treated like a princess on special occasions. Those who don't are most probably butch and gay. Buy some good perfume, a nice necklace with pendant (don't skimp on this) and take her somewhere romantic. That would be the LEAST you can do.

I like the spa idea, much better than jewellery if she is a down to earth kinda girl :D.

I go to spa's on my own or with friends, I don't need my bf to take me as well. It's an anniversary - do something special that's different and that she will remember.

Ya but it's not about you, it's about both of you. They even have those rooms where they massage a couple in the same room :D Plus there's jacuzzis and pools and stuff. There's nothing wrong with relaxing together :D

Try send one up the wrong hole perhaps. She will remember that for sure whether it goes well or ends up with htc gettin bitch slapped.

So what is special to you nicci? Give some good examples :D.
 
Well, I would like to be treated special, just as I would make him feel special. For example, I would organize a surprise package to be delivered to him at work with his favourite biscuits / coffee / chocolates or what ever in. I will also buy him something special, like a watch that has been engraved, or some gadget he might like, and give it to him when he comes home. I'd be wearing a red ribbon only :D We would then pursue to a venue he has chosen for the night, and just have a wonderful evening. I am not one for flashy things, or expensive jewelery, but a nice necklace with a pendant is not expensive, and its the thought that counts. I am always the one ending up to be the romantic in the relationship - so it would be nice to be treated special now and again :)
 
Go to a restaurant with a live band. As lame as it sounds, I did for my exs one year and it was bloody awesome...and I hate dancing. 2 bottles of wine later we and the the of the patrons were dancing to buble, Sinatra, boys2men etc. I went to vilamoura in Sandton which is a fine dining restaurant. Cost me R1200 a few years back but well worth it.
 
I'd personally drive up the coast a ways and book out a B&B for the evening. Go hiking or whale watching or whatever the next day and drive back.

i once had a picnic on signal hill with the sunset was stunning

and even 12 apostles hotel does some movies supper thing
