No 10.5.2 update then...

I did get a few other updates - Quicktime, iTunes, Frontrow, and iMovie, presumably for the new goodies in the Apple TV and iPhone/iPod.

Ya, big let down - damn - will probably be released end of the month - I beleive it is a wopper of an update - HOWEVER, I like the frontrow update - have you tried it. Does it now stream music via Airport Express. Hope so.

I've only tried Frontrow once since I got the MacBook (didn't have it on the Mini) just to see what it does. Haven't fiddled with it much.

From Mac Rumours:

Mac OS X 10.5.2 was one of the possible updates surrounding Macworld, but has yet to show up in our software update. The previous seed of Mac OS X 10.5.2 re-introduced a list view to the Stacks.

No announcements about Mac OS X 10.5.2 were made at Macworld, but one submitter noted that the requirements for Time Capsule had stated originally stated a minimum of Mac OS X 10.5.2, though this has since been changed.

Apparently, Apple hasn't quite finished working on Mac OS X 10.5.2 and issued a new seed just yesterday, addressing a number of issues. The latest build is 9C16.

So we wait a bit...

Major let down - useless update. No support for Airtunes.

Did it do anything substantial?

I cannot see anything that has changed... hence my 'useless update' :) remark.

I see one can load Frontrow ver 1.x from Tiger and it works... will try it this weekend.

I read it on the apple forums under the frontrow threads - someone did document it but is of course not an apple procedure. If you don't come right will try to find it again tonight.
