Dont you guys just love the way MyADSL has been toying with our emotions regarding the whole speed upgrade? its coming in March....Its coming in June...its coming this weekend! sheesh...guess that's the foundation of good media...to play on the fears and hopes of people...sad.

Well finally it is here. As you can see from some responses here, the migration has already started.

Ah 'tis exciting. I recently only got 4mb up from 384k and found my line syncing at 4096/640 and was chuffed and now this!

Remember that the target date to migrate existing 4mb users is mid-August.

Sorry to ask this question to ad infinitum, but if you had to take an educated guess. What might happen to the lower end of the scale? The lowly 384 users might we be bumped up to 385?

I have no idea, but would really hope so!

You really want that to happen? Not sure if it would make a BIG difference.. 384 bumped up to 385 ? Must be a typo

The 4Mbps users already download the whole Internetz, so what are the 10Mbps users gonna do? Download 2.5x the Internetz :D

I hope the 10Mbps home users will "subsidize" the 384kbps users... That would be awesome :P

IMO, Telkom should've built more DLSAM's, so that users who doesn't have ADSL can now at least enjoy it. And on top of that, they should allow people to lease ADSL lines without having to lease the telephone line too! The 10Mbps options should only be allowed to businesses...

I can vouch for this

Does anyone know if the Claremont exchange will be upgraded!

Why can't they just have a damn map! I'm gonna sit and wonder for months if my area is 'on the list' and it may well be in vain ....... They mention Durban but not once has even 1 exchange/area been mentioned ffs.

There will be an online query system operational on the Telkom website soon. Hopefully we will get our answer from there.

It's been a sad consumer orientate month.....

Rental price increases & absolutely no attention to the definition of "broadband" i.e. 384 & 512 line speed stay the same.

One could in fact say that it is it is a very costly affair to own a 384 line in terms of the price one pays & the speed one receives compared to the 4 (10) Mb lines.
