Sync as far as i know is the connection between "you" and the "isp"...

how can I check my synch speed (I have a billion 4-port modem connected to a linksys wireless router)?

Quite a few people have been fully upgraded - while you're waiting for someone to give you modem specific instructions why not test your current line speed - that is if you're due for the 1024>4096 upgrade
