3. I don't use much bandwidth but when I do use it I want stuff to download quickly.

Got the 1mbps DSL. Speeds are great. Been getting 100 + kb/sec while browsing. HTTP and FTP downloads hover around 110 kb/sec. Local torrents have been going at 90 kb/sec but I am limited by how much is sent to me.

While the service is extremely expensive, it is still dam fast! It really is a huge improvement over 512 kpbs.

There's a strong rumour that they are going to offer "downstream speed 56kbps" & "upstream speed 2400bps" for just double the price of homedsl 1024. It will offer a free upgrade for existing users.

But then that's Telkom for you, always ahead of the pack.

they have corrected it, downstream 1024, upstream 256kbps
