And the biggest downer would be getting your hopes up about uncapped 5G and then getting 3G speeds where it is almost unusable after spending so much.
Just like with 4G, they cannot guarantee anything when the network gets congested.
They can build/mount more towers.

Well obviously they'd upgrade and maintain both 4G and 5G. 4G speeds are very still decent.
The way i see it. the more 5G is rolled out the better 4G will become.
so PLEASE roll it out faster. us pesants can use the 4G let them special people have 5G TAKE IT ALLLL!!!!!

Not for everyone. Some of us rarely see 1MBPS even.
So they could put in more towers to alleviate this but they choose not to.

Got called this morning. Coming to install at 1pm today. Has to be delivered to your home, technician apparently tests the setup and placement to ensure you get their minimum promised speed. Hoping for the best :)
Now that is next level service.

So have you actually got it in hand yet? Where are the speed test and actual experience opinion?

All you lucky bastards getting Rain 5G do us a favour and look out for 5G poles in your neighborhood and send us a pic or two.

It would be interesting to see how many 5G antennas are needed in a given area to launch this service.

I have it installed now. Get between 200Mbps and 380Mbps. They suggest having it near a window for best reception. Going to fiddle tomorrow with positioning it better.

That dashboard is also next level. Wish we could have similar for 4G where it shows speedtests and positioning information. Then we do not have to fly blind and swamp support with queries.

Hi. So actual normal speedtest is only about 80Mbps. While the rain website speedtest gives +- 320Mbps where I currently have it setup. I'm still happy have no fibre in my area so it's still way better than the current lte offerings.

Would it be possible for you to do some latency tests to local and international servers? Just want to see how the 5G latency compares to fibre
