Hi, I'm stumped

Got myself a new 1060 GTX.

Machine A :

Connects to my monitor, but can't install latest nvidia drivers on Win 10 64 machine. ( drivers not compatible with OS)
i7 Haswell / 16GBRAM / SSD / MSI board

Machine B :

Connects to my monitor, but can't install latest nvidia drivers on Win 7 64 machine. ( No compatan;e graphics card found )
i7 Sandy bridge / 16GBRAM / SSD / MSI board

:(

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Have you downloaded the correct drivers?
You'd usually only get that error if the software you've downloaded isn't for that card series.

Failing that, try clean out the old drivers using Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU)

Thanks Guys,

@DrJohnZoidberg ; @agentrfr I have downloaded the correct drivers. ( multiple times and on 2 machines, just to be sure )

@Faux_Grey ; Going to use DDU today and let you know how it goes.

Thanks for the help guys, Cant wait to test this bad boy out.

I got my 1060 today, no issues with drivers. Though I can't use the Asus GPU Tweak tool as it causes weird visual artifacts in Windows, very odd.

Just recently sold a i7-6700 based system with gtx 1060 ,had the same error on windows 10 that you are receiving on Machine-A.

I could not get it to install at all ,had reinstall windows 8.1 worked fine then.

@Faux_Grey Tried DDU on Machine B, same problem. Thanks for the advice though.

@Gtx Gaming , it seems to hint towards a window problem, tried updating to latest update, still the same problem exists.
( Win 8 is not on DX 12, I really want to test it on WIn 10 with DX 12 )

s s s s stuck

Stupid question, Where did you buy the card from and what brand is it?
Hope it's not one of these fake GT 210's rebranded to a 1060. :P

Thanks for the feedback and info, I managed to find the problem being a specific build of WIn 10,
Did a clean install with WIN 10 new build and walla, 1060 graphics paradise Here I come !

Tried the New Tomb raider and DOOM...lovely
