10mb connectivity - Cape Town Areas???

Table View: bumped up to 10MB. Theoretically :/

In truth of the 20 odd Dslams in the exchange only one, the now infamous Table View 9, has high speed (4MB +) capacities. It's oversaturated and acts erroneous. They downgraded my line to 5MB but it's still very bad.

I'm in Blaauwberg road, close to the ocean side - don't know which exchange I'm on, but my line stats are pretty good:

I have tried manually selecting ADSL2+ on the router, but it just falls back to G.Dmt, so I'm assuming no ADSL2+ support at my exchange yet, hence no 10mbit. I'm happy with 4mbit at the moment, as I've been struggling with stupid 3g for the last 4 months. Adsl is bliss!

Hehe, I've been a customer for a while - but I only just got my adsl this week and was hoping to get the titan package, only to find its no longer there. So I guess Afrihost has my business then.
 
Hi,
I'm in Rondebosch, supposedly upgraded to 10mbps, but I saw so little difference in international dowload speed when I moved to 4mbps, that I wonder if it is now worth paying more once again.
Any feedback would be appreciated.

Cool. Wynberg, Kenilworth, Claremont have been upgraded. You will get best value for money (rent/property-wise) in Wynberg/Kenilworth.
 
When you say that Claremont has, I think only some parts of it have been upgraded because I stay in Claremont and have not been upgraded as of yet.
 
Anyone in mouille point or surrounding areas speeds there??
 
Parow North got 10mb Exchange, just make sure you are near it, otherwise constantly disconnects from the distance.
 
i live there , my number is 021 939 xxxx, dont seem to have but i think im on the exchange near the shell garage maybe and not the one at the playgrounds, even know i stay next to the playgrounds :s

my line Attenuation is about 35 which is way to much for exchange being in next street of me :)
 
Epping exchange has had 10mb for nearly 2 months. I've been running 10mb stable for that long as well, 0 problems with my line :)
