Stevie G, at R 2,112.00, that OCZ Vertex 2 SSD would cost R800 more than the Kingston 96GB SSD.

We've already said in this thread that you won't really need more than that. It's always nice to have more space, but then eventually you won't even be able to settle for a 256GB SSD...

I can't find anything on the Kingston SVP100 series being recalled either.
So I'd say stick with the Kingston 96GB SSD, but you'll have to wait for them to get stock again...

i always want to go bigger and better, but it always comes with a price.
how does it compare to the OCZ Vertex 2 in terms of speed and lifespan.

Yeah.. I know what you mean, but you know, for 128GB, maybe it's more safe..

and also that SSD is "slower" than normal ones.. so yeah.. want to get a "normal" SSD
