I'm helping someone upgrade their pc they use for Daz3D and they need a new NVIDIA GPU.

If you're not familiar with daz, it's rendering engine only works with NVIDIA cards and gpu memory is arguably more important than speed or busses. Basically if the scene being rendered won't load in the gpu ram it fails over to cpu. So a 3060 with 12gb ram is better than a 4060 with 8gb.

I know some people have had issues with evetech, personally I've ordered two pc's through them without issue. But I don't know of other options besides them or wootware. I'm a best off just telling him to order something off amazon.com or is there another local supplier?

I believe I saw something about new NVIDIA gpu's early next year... do you think it's worth waiting for that the 4060 16gb ones will drop below R10k?

Edit:
TLDR Questions:
Should I wait for the supposed new range next year?
Anywhere other than Evetech or Wootware locally worth supporting? (not scamalot)

You can already get a 4060 Ti 16GB for under R10k.

if VRAM is the most important then the 4060TI 16GB is probably your best bet at stated above.

In terms of suppliers, Evetech is a non-starter.

Progenix, Wootware, DreamWareTech would be my go-tos.
