hi guys - i've got an interesting situation this side....company x locally in big trouble...they've had a outbreak of mabezat.a worm ...thus they have been flagged by spamcop.net for spambots...(yeah bad on them..weak antivirus protection !) ...anyhow...
also their corporate internet line went down yesterday (512k silver LL) . they have got adsl proxy backups..but bad luck also went bigtime there....none of the routers sync...so 3g only option
at the moment. - seems like a set of cable failures - thank you telkom..
and to make things worse the current system.admin ran nod32 on the ISA2006 server...now they are gettingthis error: Error Code 12206: Proxy chain loop * Background: The gateway has detected a proxy chain loop. This condition might indicate a configuration problem on a proxy server....this after
they installed nod32 on the isa , exchange and domain controller...it removed the virus and is now clean..however the error persists...any ideas? on this?
... i'm almost to the point of suggesting decentralize the email to an external provider.skip all the isa and rubbish (dunno if they utlize the advanced features of outlook but if not ..hmm
) , ..just get a proper ADSL router with firewall or run something like ipcop/squid?
their setup is too complex to analyze where what went wrong as an outsider..so i'd rather suggest decentralize email - backup script for psts, adsl router , email to an offsite mail provider and there we go?
