19" lcd or 17" lcd

Hi!

Yes, saw that, however that's excluding VAT aswell, but yeah that is the cheapest i've seen and most probably the only place.
But regardless, if you had to plug my monitor in etc etc, you wouldn't notice the difference with a brand new one, it's practically just uncealed :P

Sorry about posting it here, I can't get through posting a thread by the classifieds section :/

My budget just got an increase! Now should i buy a 22" or a 24"

That's beside the point. People don't want to pay the same (or just a little less) for a second hand monitor, a few months out of warranty. Most would rather pay the extra R200 for peace of mind and a nice, new monitor. :-)

Exactly, it's besides the point how freshly second hand it is!
To most people that is.

u take something out its wrapper and you lose 30% bam, six months later 50% of what you paid is what its worth

agree with killa ... it all has to do with human psychology but supply and demand also play a BIG part ... if an item is opened, you can say goodbye to getting the same price for it that you initially paid.

There are certain exceptions though. If a uber piece of hardware (lets say 8800GT) suddenly goes out of stock and is likely to be out of stock for a few months, you can maybe get more for it that the selling price new. People will want to buy it.
