1st car owner tips

Just understand that run flats, when flat and driven on, will need to be replaced ASAP.

They don't recover from the above once patched/re-inflated.

They're great if you want the safest tyre around, but they're not economical. They don't give you a magical edge over non-RFT tyres when deflated.
Correct, run flats just makes sure you have the option of getting out of a dangerous area.

If stay slow and careful, they might not get damaged.

Ouch. That's why I like a nice, fat aspect ratio on my tyres.

Never understood the appeal of the only thing protecting your wheels being a thin sliver of rubber.

First pothole you come across and it's game over.

Good luck with your claim!

I don't think/feel statement was sour, it does not come across to me like that.

To me it actually comes across as showing concern?

Unless maybe (and a stretch here) the funnily enough part.

Make sure you read the fine print on your service plan, make sure you know what it covers. Park FAR away from other cars it is a bit wide so getting in and out of the car is hard. Don't drive it hard and it will serve you forever. Despite my distaste for BMW they build good cars and if you take care of it, it should take care of you.
