1st Robovac suggestions

it sucks the dirt out / empties the dirty water / refills with fresh water / washes & drys the mops, then takes a nap.

What does it do with long female hair that gets tangle in the roller?

I have to make about 50 cuts with a scissors to clean it off.

I checked the rollers on sunday, cause my GF has long thick hair so I wanted to see what it looks like inside:unsure:
surprisingly there was very little hair trapped around the rollers. I just pulled off 1 roller and snipped the tangled hair and that was that.

So far Wally-E hasn't bitched about been blocked or having any roller issues.

yes it does. You can map individual rooms & floors. there are tools that allow you to place virtual wall / restricted areas or you can just draw a box around the area you want it to clean

x20+ info
Yeah mine does that too but I never had the floor functionality and the same issue you do where the one room is at a different level.

So it would always lose the plot in there.

I live with two long haired ladies and three cats. Ladies and felines 1023 - Vacuum 0

I pull the the ends off the brush ( they detach with some tugging ) and wrangle the hair off. I also used to sit there cutting it off until I figured out the ends come off with some grunting

the floor is the same level - the robovac just can't climb over the sliding doors bottom runner. it made an attemp the other day but half way over it decided it was not a god idea. maybe I can trim the alluminium sides down to floor level that would solve the issue

It's one of my Saturday morning chores. Will give it a try.
2 cats and a woman.

we are looking at a robovac for our new place as well.
2 short hair ladies, 2 long hair gents.
6 cats, 2 shed a lot of hair and 2 shed a bit and 2 you hardly see any hair from.

Place is quite big I needed to get a wifi mesh to cover the house. so I think spending a bit extra for one of the ones that can actually map the place is definitely a better idea than cheeping out on this.

Spiff’s x20+ or the x10+ is the one I would go for if I bought now.

It has the mapping, object avoidance and a self cleaning station.
He paid 10k for it so that is a price you can look out for on daily deals etc.
It’s 12k now after Black Friday.

The “S” version without the cleaning station is around 6k when on special.
That just means you clean it on Saturday morning,.
Otherwise it looks the same.

The 3k “E” version is just a bumper car, no proper mapping. To be avoided.

Don't get a robovacuum if you have a pooch, it's rubbish with a turd.

Dude...

A pooch?
You ever tried to wash a robovac that dragged cat 💩 all through the house?
(cat zonkie nut falling off her tail after doing a #2)
Cat 💩 is the worst!

That 💩 sticks to the plastic and insides of a robovac and takes a LOT to wash out. Several washes.
OMG and if you dont wash it properly you have this robovac merely going about it's business in your house and spreading the stench everywhere.
🤢🤮

I've been watching BattleBots recently, now those things would be able to clean a house out.

You come back and all the furniture lies neatly (but broken) in a corner.

I hate you.

Watched that video and Google'd it for a good price and then slipped and fell and bought this deal "for my wife" for Christmas.

Carpets are few and far between in our house so the lack of smart detection over the X10 isn't a big deal for me.

Been looking for a Christmas "gift" for her that isn't the **** load of camping equipment she would be using long before Christmas.

Should really break this one out early because our domestic will be gone for a few weeks, but need something to go under the tree.

put a few xmas decorations and a xmas card on robovac - then use the manual controls to chase after your wife😉

PS don't start me on camping equipment - don't even mention the word camping :cautious:

For me it’s all about enabling free time.

I don’t camp…I just buy the stuff so that they can.

Then I have peace and quiet and modernity all to myself.
