1st Robovac suggestions

If anything, the mopping would be worse for the laminates if it left puddles of water. Scratching I doubt. The brush does only enough to move the dirt enough to let air suck it up.

Yeah was wondering. Perhaps a bot with just proper vacuuming for laminates

No issue with mopping either, it doesn't leave puddles of water it just wets the mops and spins them around or drags them about on the lower end models.

In 5+ years with mopping robot vacuum never been an issue.

Water is only a problem for laminates when there is so much it goes and sits underneath.

Box was much bigger than I expected. Barely got it into my plat-kar.
Jirre you were not lying when you said this is a HUGE box and a heavy one at that when you have to carry it what felt like 2km back to the utterly **** parking lot that is Cavendish.

They thought I was joking at first when I asked them to gift wrap it.

I bought this a few weeks ago. all I can say WTH did I wait so long. Fortunately my house is 90% smooth tile with only the 2 bedrooms been wood laminate.

this robvac is awesome. takes less than an hour to clean the entire house - that's vac & mop

damn tiles look brand new now. No hair (girlfriend) a gecko will get stuck its so clean

I've also noticed it can spot a piece of dirt - turn around and target the dirt then resume pattern.

the mapping is excellent.

Except for bathrooms, my whole home has laminated flooring. How is it on the lamimated floors?

Pulled the trigger on the S20+. Will revert on the alarm bit as the Mijia scuttles around without setting it off. Will be interesting to see if lidar plays with the PIR's
@SauRoNZA Feeding back.

So far Moptimus Grime has done two runs of the house without setting off the alarm. So for our alarm system ( a now old DSC PC585 smartified via an ESP32 ) at least, no hassles

Then I hope it will be the same with mine.

Maybe they exhaust differently on the newer models.

Is it pet friendly pirs or the more expensive mmwave pirs? I have a both but I haven't yet seen even the older models trip my mmwave pir alarm sensor.
Petty sure it works on size. The older ones work on heat.

Ancient Paradox setup so I would imagine just heat based. Definitely not pet friendly...since we've never had pets and our parrot lives "under" the PIR.

Outside ones are different and probably doing something else as they have Yellow Orange Green lights that "ramp up" before they trigger.

By the way you got the X20+ in Home Assistant yet?

Pain in the ass or fairly out of the box?
Depends.

Just make sure you select the latest beta version in hacs when you install the dreame integration.

Then look for an issue, there is a bug you have to fix in the code to get past an error. Then after that it works fine

Cool, I know who to call when I get stuck.

So most people with Home Assistant and a robot, knows this card.

The zone cleanup is....ok. But you have to drag an area then it cleans that. I didn't want that. I wanted to use those predefined rooms.

And you could create all these buttons....

Anyways you will notice, I have that custom clean button. Thats cool. When you click on that, it calls a script called script.clean_room, which requires inputs, and so, it looks like this in the UI when you call it:

Choose your mode (mop should be sweep+clean) and the room, and it goes. The script is set to queued, so it should in theory queue the room cleaning if you run it more than once.

This is, apart from the automations that start the scheduled cleanings.
