1time airline

I hope not :( i love 1time

Worst flight experience was with 1time. Like taking the bus. Had to pay for drinks and no meal. Waited and hour on the tramac in Joburg before disembarking. And they're hardly ever the cheapest. I'm truly glad to say I only ever flew with 1time the one time.

Last I heard...they filed for business rescue to protect them from creditors untill they can turn the business around. This is the same route that Velvet Sky tried..and failed. When it comes to airlines...this scares the crap out of passengers...makes them wonder if their tickets will be valid still by the time they need to fly...and many wont be willing to take this risk. This means that the airline will go under even quicker. Time will tell I guess. I hope they make it.

You obviously missed the bit where I said they are hardly ever the cheapest. Most of the time BA are the cheapest PE to Joburg and you get a meal. The one time I flew 1time they just happened to be the cheapest on the day I chose to fly.

Its no wonder they're going under when you can get full service flights for less than the so called no frills airline.

If you leave it to the last minute...then no budget airline gonna work out the cheapest. Not in this country anyway. The more in advance you book...the cheaper the ticket.

Sad times for me. I have flights booked with them in December for R3K. If I am not worrying about losing my money and holiday, i am worrying about a engine falling off again as I have my fiancee and daughter with me.

I don't like SAA and Mango, so hope that 1Time makes it.

SAA are always late (& have poor service) and Mango have the least leg space of all the airlines - I can't sit in their seats.

Kulula are OK but are too expensive.

Anyone notice that Kulula now require you to take a Kulula credit card to accumulate air miles with them? And it has to be booked on your Kulula credit card? Now that's a bit of business ethics I do not agree with. I won't be flying with them any time soon...

Yep. Saw that yesterday after buying my tickets and noticing my kulula moolah didn't increase.

Also, their prices don't include tax until you select the flights.

1Time is definitely the best low cost airline in SA. If you look at On time stats they are also the airline which have the highest percentage of on time flights in South Africa.

Have been flying them for years and also Kulula and SAA and like 1Time the best by far.

I found 1times prices have been more expensive than others this year, only flown with them once this year because of that.
Don't forget to add http://www.britishairways.com/travel/home/public/en_za to your searches they've been offering ok prices of late.
Commair.
Jola i usually check in a bit early & ask for exit seat -had about 95% success rate doing it that way,or you can pay to book those seats early also with Mango.

Looked at the Kulula credit card. I would not have minded the moolah...but damn...it is like R300.00 a year. Virgin I dont pay any yearly fee. :-(

What do you guys think?
