Right now Kallis does more harm than good in the side. Scoring big runs against minnow sides and then crawling along against the big teams ain't gonna help SA's cause much.

let him play this game and then we can decide. Kallis is there when we are in deep kuk and he's bailed us out before. With Vaas and Murali, we really need a Kallis though I will question Prince's inclusion.

It all depends on the situation. Just don't send Kallis to bat when we need lots of runs quickly.

Heres my take on things.

Kallis is perfect for any game where a runrate of 4,5 - 5,5 is needed or even as a target!

Most games are 4,5 to 5,5 run rate games.

thats actually a valid point...
Perhaps he should come in when the team needs stability... So its should be a variable position for him... The coach needs to change Kallis's mindset, and educate him to adjust his technique to the different situations....:confused:
 
Yeah I agree...if we bat 2nd and need a run rate of 6 or more per over Kallis should be bumped down to about number 6. If the required run rate is less than that I think number 4 is where he belongs.

But thats water under the bridge, maybe they learnt something from that and lucky for them it wasnt the end of their WC.
 
Just heard on radio that Kallis is not a happy chappy following all this criticism 'bout his batting. Me thinks it is a good time for apposing teams to chirp kallis...

I like watching SA bat so thats a plus. Flippin SABC, at least they showing all our matches. Who won the toss tho? Smithy or whats his face?
