I think that 3,5,7,9 should be big hitters.

And then stable batters on the other ends. If a big hitter falls u have 2 stable men at the crease. the next wicket fall u have a big hitter again.

Select four bowlers and let the 5th set be make up of people like smith etc bowling.

or.... we could just train our top 7 to play spin....

No, I think you should have batsmen capable of accelerating at the drop of a hat throughout your top and middle order. Taking 2 or 3 overs to get settled in during power plays is just not on. ever.

Yes another point... Why is every batter so scared of a spinner.

Connect the ball right where is lands and bam... The mental state spinners have on batsmen is more damaging than their bowling

Lol you proved you like action movies rather than thrillers....
No, that SA can play aggressive cricket from the word go. But then again the only game you seem to remember with ease is the 438 game ;)

krycor i hear you man, but imagine the pressure on the middle order when they have to come in because sounth is 61 1 of 27 overs lol

i think kallis should get dropped from the 1 day team and try somebody who can bat fast

what happened to the kallis who used smack ppl all over and scores his runs fast? because i do remember this kallis

this new kallis is slow and actually offers the team nothing more than lets say a hall or one of the others

Its all in the mind, they need a spinner shrink!;)

yup he does indeed. Look he can bat fast if the pitch is in SA ;) Problem with him is he gets bogged down alot and then does not always pickup his stricke rate to compensate. The times when he has scored very very fast is when his entire innings from the offset was run a ball with little risks unlike what he did vs bangladesh.

Doesn't Kallis have the most 6s by a SA batsman? :):)

Yip I think thats right and it wasnt Gibbs style shots, there was some class in there to!;) But age catches up to everyone, not that he suck now....

I can see that I'm going to have to watch this one with my hands over my eyes, just sneeking a peek through my fingers from time to time.

I want to watch, but I can't bear to look.
