2007 Opel Corsa 1.3 CDTi Diesel engine

Hi everyone!

I hope someone has more car knowledge than me...

I have a 2007 Opel Corsa with a 1.3 CDTI diesel turbo engine...that needs replacing.

The camshaft snapped and Opel wants about R75000 confused for a new engine...

Anyone have suggestions regarding a reconditioned engine (where to find?) or a much cheaper engine that would fit the car?

Or someone (honest) to contact...in Pretoria or West Rand region...preferably?

Why not get a new camshaft and some valves?

Try Japan auto. They sell new and refurbished engines for most makes of cars.

Hahaha! You can purchase another second hand Corsa for that price.
The stealerships never fail to amaze me.
I steer clear of stealerships once a vehicle is out of warranty and service/maintenance plan. They're all a bunch of sharks (pick any brand).

What about Remtec, even though they're in PE? Any similar companies over here?

I am assuming you meant the cambelt snapped causing the engine to self destruct? Was the cambelt replaced at the specified intervals?
