United arent desperate for a keeper, VDS is still top quality and can do the job, he easily has another 2 years in him, and SAF should be using those 2 years to groom his replacement, not looking for another 30+ year old, I think Hart would be a better signing for United than Arsenal, we need an experienced quality keeper immediately and I dont think Hart is the man for the job

agreed on the points on SAF - not so sure if AW is definite about bringing in a keeper - he has mentioned strengthening defensive areas; let's hope that includes the GK department.

On a side note, the Official site has done something weird this year. Usually I don't have anything negative to say about Arsenal.com, but really now. 'Transfer Gossip'? Sad. He will bring in a keeper, 100%, Almunia not playing the last few games of the season is just too convenient.. Buffon is only 32, and would be perfect, if he plays until VDS age that will be a good 6 or 7 years out of him and by then Scezezny(too lazy to check the spelling), Fabianski and Mannone should have a decent amount of experience

With Buffon in the nets we will win * :D
 
Chelsea striker Didier Drogba has revealed he would love it if Fernando Torres jumped ship to Stamford Bridge this summer.

Drogba clinched the Premier League's golden boot award last weekend as the Blues romped home to claim the title with an emphatic 8-0 victory over Wigan.

He has been partnered by French forward Nicolas Anelka this season but admits he would welcome any move for Liverpool star Torres, which has been speculated.

"I have heard the talk about Torres maybe coming in and I would welcome it, of course," he said.

does chelsea have a number 9 or number 7? Just wondering. My buddy brought to my attention the other day, that big clues in the transfer market are usually worked out by available squad numbers. i.e. Barca not having a number 7 - reserved possibly for David Villa. Interesting hey.

Arsenal don't have a number 6 (CB) or 13 (GK)... oh well

6 is Senderos...
 
Senderos may be 6, but it's an open number now, seen as he is at Everton and his contract will not be renewed come end of season once it expires.

Alex is like a home grown player for juve. Buffon isn't. They sell buffon and any of the other squad members but they will never sell alex.

Then I wouldn't put read too much into it. Nothing against press pass but sometimes they really interpret stories the way they want to.

I now but am talking in general. There are more rumors than usual in the italian press. Genereally this only starts after the cl final no matter if an italian team is involved or not.

Anyway for the spurs fans the italian press is linking them with a move for muntari.

everyone is being linked with spurs thanks to their new found CL status (even though they havent qualified yet)
I think the reason why the rumours are in overdrive at the moment is cause of the WC coming up, they may as well milk every rumour for what its worth now cause they will have plenty to publish from june onwards

All the squad numbers went out hte window when that douche gallas was given Bergkamps 10. He must go now, we must give 10 to Chamakh and bring in Hangeland with 6. Almunia can give up 1 for the GK :D
