Never missed it, commented in the other thread.
I was more concerned over the Villa deal than the Cesc one.
Why does everybody think Villa is brought into be a centre foward at Barca? He will form part of the front three. He will play on the left.

He was practically sold half way through the season already.
Barca needed two replacements in the last transfer window. Secure the left back position and secure the left foward position for when Henry leaves.
Villa and Ribery were spoken about for Henry's position. Pedro filled in after a break out season. Many blogs and articles have documented how well Villa will be for Barca on the left. He naturally drifts to the left during games but can play through the middle and on the right.
This makes me sad panda. Chelsea will be like one huge steam roller if they sign him as well.
Liverpool have clearly said they have no intention of selling their top players. these stories are getting old! were are they coming from?

He showed some promise while on loan to Watford. But he shot himself in the foot more than once at the beggining of the season.
Until he screwed up really really badly whenever he played for them at the start of the season.

Barca are starting to go back on their own words now... They always bash Madrid for being Galacticos and throwing money at people... Look at them now ? Same question everyone asks madrid, where are they going to play all those players??

Why would Barca buy pay 70 million for Torres when David Villa is rated as the better striker and we got him for under 40 million?
Think about it. Villa was brought in for the left, he fits in perfectly. If Cesc comes, he will slot in perfectly as well. We are not Madrid, Barcelona wont pay crazy amounts of money for players like Madrid does.
They might have to the way Madrid has been spending lately :O It's truly horrendous how much money RM has to spend on players.
Why would they have to?
Real Madrid spent almost 200 million last season and Barca still beat them with home grown players.
