I wonder which is a better business deal: €40 million for 28 year old David Silva ...or... €15 million for 21 year old Mesut Özil

If ozil lives up to his potential then its him but that remains to be seen. Silva is proven in the cl and with spain while ozil only had one good wc.

As for the fee it was always going to be on the low side considering his deal is up at the end of the season.

Still think real should have signed a lb instead of another attacking midfielder.

True, but clubs like City and RM don't think sometimes. That's why City have 15 world class strikers and 10 donkey defenders.

Adebayor rather than Ibrahimovic?

sure, he's a quality player when hes motivated, and proven in the EPL, ibra looks too brittle for the premier league, he can hardly cut it in spain

True but how often does Ade look motivated? He also seems to need 5 clear chances to score a goal. I've always seen him as a poor man's Drogba. But this is Man City we're talking about here, so I wouldn't be surprised if they splashed some cash on Ibrahimovic just for the fun of it.

You mean David Villa.

I would take David Villa over Ozil at that price any damn day.

Did anybody know of Ozil before the World Cup?

Who even says Ozil will turn out to be half as good as Villa.

Yes, I meant David Villa. You're pretty sharp.

Don't bother dude. Cantera said that Ronaldo was nothing in La Liga, even though though he scored 26 goals in 20 appearances in the league. So if he thinks that Ronaldo was a bad transfer...
