2010/2011 Transfer Thread

Well think about it... I reckon both were wastes, just that Real actually managed to waste less money that Barca. Barca didn't need another forward and Madrid didn't need another attacking midfielder. However - price/age wise Madrid came out on top though...

Why does Liverpool need yet another midfielder

Seems like a good move, esp if Masch is leaving.

Doesn't look like he's leaving especially if he's cup tied in Europe.

Even if he did leave why would we need Parker when we have Gerrard, Poulsen, Aqualani and Lucas?

Perhaps replace Lucas with Parker.

Well if Masch is staying then Parker would be a good bet instead of Lucas. I really really don't like that kid. Hopefully aqualani gets more game time this year! I would love to see that guy become a regular!

I would have loved to see Robben become a regular for Chelsea in his time by us, but it was a pipe-dream...

Mascherano was left out of the europa league squad for tomorrow. Hodgson said its an injury... We will know in 12 days.

Also on the being cup tied if he played for lfc in the europa league he would only be cup tied for the cl till january. He would be totally cup tied for the europa league this season but there is a provision for him to be added for a cl team in january if he were to play in the europa league.

Personal is he will go before the transfer market closes.

He was too gangsta! I was pissed when Chelsea sold him.

No way, I was relieved. It was irritaing seeing only glimpses of his genius and if he had stayed with us he;d be in even worse shape than he is now. You can't be a great footballer if you don't play games and in the prem he would have been a perma crock.

+1. He's immensely talented but it's pointless having a great player in your squad that is injured most of the time. He would have fitted in perfectly at Arsenal - most of our stars are injured most of the time :p

LOL, mybrother always bugged me about how I could be glad that he was sold to Real Madrid - then he started getting it with all the injuries to Van Persie. Now he hates injury-prone Dutch players as much as I do. No place in a team for those. Bayern are just lucky that Robben has played the majority of the games for them. Once he finds a convenient blade of grass to fall over, he'll be out for 6 months again...

Robinho to besiktas?
How odd
I wonder if Man city are going to pay a portion of his salary as well

Somehow I feel that one of the big clubs is missing a trick here...mmmm...

It probably has something to do with EPL, and any other top tier league team not being willing to pay the wages Robinho expects and has become accustomed to at city

City are probably willing to pay a portion of his wages as long as its at a club that doesnt compete directly with them ala bellamy/cardiff where they are paying 65k towards his weekly wages

Makes sense - Such a good player to be in limbo like that...
Do you think (if they dont do much this year) they will do a clean out and buy a bunch of new players again leaving the others out in the river - I mean a player like Robinho can really make a difference in a side esp in the EPL - surely Mancini should take on the challenge of making him want to play for the club and in the same breathe, be able to handle his ego

None of the big clubs are willing to take on a troubled player. Robinho had issues at both real and city. Also we all saw how he disappeared in the world cup the moment brazil ran into troubles. He is a great player when things are gone his way but can't cope with adversity.

I wouldn't take robinho even for free...

In other news seems krasic to juve is done and diego's deal to wolfsburg is of.
