In terms of metal, lately I have been listening to a lot of Bloodbath, Immortal, Gojira, Mastodon, Wolves in the Throne Room and of course Opeth. And lots of other stuff that's loosely metal like Isis, Solstafir, Katatonia etc.

Saw Dream Theater at Wembley a couple of months ago. They played after Opeth. Opeth was better. :D :p

During DT's first song (dunno the name), Mikael Akerfeldt from Opeth came on during the second verse and death growled the vocals for that verse. The song went from a 6/10 to 9/10 for that verse. Sounded damned badass.

I still wanna see Bullet For My Valentine live though. I know they wouldn't ever disappoint their fans:p
