2010 Fifa ticketing system crash

FFS, this seriously and utterly stinks! Nothing for internet users, oh well by the time that works everything will be sold out!
 
just called the ticket call center and was told that they are offline!!
 
What about the last minute international sales?? They can't exactly walk into an FNB and buy tickets.
 
FIFA Jokers. I just stood in a queue for 5 hrs at a shoprite here in the Cape and they managed to sell 8 tickets to 3 ppl. When the system did come online much later in the afternoon it was taking between 35-40 mins per transaction! I left within sniffing distance of the tickets as there were about 20 ppl in front of me and I didnt think it was going to happen. Surely there are not more requests than the banks usually deal with for online banking?
The worst was that in the queue for 5 hrs and I had NO feedback at all, no one managing the queue or information.

No use bothering any more, I got onto the availability page and all the category 4 tickets are gone... Not "sold out" mind you, merely "not available". Wonder what that means?
 
Can't get into the pat of the site where you even look at availability for games. What a fark up. FIFA/MATCH must take blame for the poor ticket sales, they used the wrong methods and made it as difficult and unreliable as possible.

Got onto availability page just now and booked then got blocked from proceeding with block selection paying. Grrrrr.

sigh just too expensive

Easy to login and buy tickets now, and damn the Denmark/Holland game is so tempting but cant justify spending R840 a ticket - just too damn expensive.

Lots of Cat 3 but R560 a ticket still too rich for me, arghh sucks to be poor :(

Pity I'm not wealthy or like soccer that much, some awesome CAt 1 and Cat 2 tickets available , even QF at Ellis park available for R1400 a ticket

weird - they dont want to sell us the Cat 4 tickets, Loftus shows CAT4 in almost every match, but it wont let you checkout, yet all Cat3, 2 and 1 checkout working fine, sigh

and yay - I can get Cat4 to Australia/Serbia - erm on second thoughts, I think not, where is Polokwane actually they still calling it Nelspruit, anyways?

Damn I could have got 1 ticket Cat3 to holland/Denmark but boring going alone

Greenpoint-All Cat 1 games wide open but seats in the top tier roof Rafters for the semi final at R8000 for 2 is a bit rich... I saw Port vs lil Kim in cat 3 available but also in rafters, possibly on roof. Interesting is still lots of Cat 4 yet to be released. Sign in as non SA resident and *poof* once sold out seats in cat 2 &3 become available. The mind boggles.

Nelspruit and Polokwane are different cities. Polokwane is in Limpopo and Nelspruit is in Mpumalanga.
 
The website works like a charm today, no more error messages from what i can see, but guess what there are no decent tickets left!
Such a shame, i was so close to getting Spain Vs Chile at Loftus. Sad thing is there will be no accountability or anything, life goes on.
 
strange.. i booked 4 tickets to Germany vs Serbia last night at about 21:30 and it worked fine, then this morning i just when to the ticketing center, some dude said collections, bypassed the Q walked in scanned the credit card walked out, all in all 5 min in the ticketing center and about 10 on the site.

Yip, if you want to collect tickets you don't need to stand in the que. You can just go in and approach one of the people at the printing kiosks or use the ticketing machine.
