Hi guys, it has been revealed. What do you guys think? I'm a bit disappointed with the power it makes.

Pity SA will never see the 3 door version.

I don't like the red line through the lights, other than that it looks quite nice :)
 
Meh, looks like a big [-]Polo[/-] shoe

EDIT: Probably a case of the photos not doing it justice.

Nope, saw the G7 - not the GTI obviously - in person today. It looks kinda Meh and similar to the polo.
 
WTF? How many times can Volkswagen regurgitate the same design? The rear panel looks like it was taken from the Golf IV and the front and back does not depart too far from the present Golf.

Did their suppliers have some kind of unexpected delay on decent fabric for the seats? Looks like were in a rush so stole a few kilts just to have "something" :wtf:

Other than that, it doesn't seem too bad. I wouldn't mind one at all.
 
About time they replaced those stupid mags. This is what the VI should have been.
 
I do like it but it seems even less of an upgrade than the MK6 was over the MK5.
 
I'll go for it again... Just hope they bring them out in that same blue as in the picture. I will however first take a look at the new Ford Focus RSI once it released before deciding on my next car.

What is a Focus RSI? If you are talking about the Focus RS, then you should be looking at the next Golf R. Otherwise the new Focus ST should be here before the new GTi...

The biggest upgrade from the MK5 to MK6 was the engine that was completely redesigned... Looks might not be much change, but the engine is awesome.

Ok, probably ST then. I've never really been a Ford fan so I don't really know their models that well. This latest ST though has all the right stuff so I'm taking notice... I just wonder what the resale value will be after 2-3 years. The GTI really shines in that department.
 
The front bumper.. On the sides it looks like an Audi R8 design.

I like it. The GTI is a fantastic car but way too common for me to consider buying it. They also bring out new models way too often.
 
looks OK to me. but as with the last few generations these cars keep on getting better.

Rather judge it for what it is/can do......

You my friend are obviously not aware of the Porche 911. That whole company is built on "regurgitate the same design"

Quite frankly I'm dissapointed by this model, the mk6 was a fantastic design. I'll wait for the mk8.

I also miss the days when the Golf GTi challenged the supercar of the time with the origanal mk1 and mk2
