Horrible seats. Not in keeping with Golf's upmarket image. Should be leather. Maybe this isn't "green" enough nowadays. What is that funny mark on the rear wheel arch?

It's generally been the standard seats available in those markets, with leather being an option. We get the leather seats.

"Smiling" lower grille? Wheels?

For starters the mazda doesn't even have an upper grille, but other than that : headlights, bonnet, boot, windscreen, overall shape of the car, mirrors, indicator lights, chrome finishes, doorhandles, wipers. I think you get the proverbial picture ?

Actually the "smiling" lower grille on the mazda 3 would be better described as a massive retarded smile grille or a sarah jessica parker grille.

Is your sisters husband talking about the new 125i F20? I havent driven it buts the stats are impressive. I was driving an Audi 3.0 tdi auto the other day and I must say even though its quick but its too comfortable for my liking. I'll drive a Golf 6 DSG any day. So if 125i is lacking that sportiness , then I'll stick to my VW.

Maybe the minor changes to design has something to do with VW's high resale value? I don't know why, but VW does seem to retain its value quite longer than other cars.



My sister's husband used to work at BMW. He said something that although the 125i have the power, it is not a sporty car. He rather recommended the 130 I think. I myself am eyeing the new Focus ST to be released in the next month or two.

I do not know. I mentioned the car a month or two ago (maybe 3) after a post here from a guy who wanted to choose between the GTI and 2 other cars, when one of the replies recommended the 125 rather. So after checking it out on the website, I asked him about it and he said I won't like it.
