2015 MotoGP

The most disturbing thing that many people overlooked is how on earth did a guy who started at the back , in the pinnacle of motorcycling racing overtake so many riders with ease to claim 4th well before the end of the race ? This basically means they are just 2 teams in this prestigious category that everyone want to race in- Honda and Yamaha. They always are fast on Friday, lock out the front row on saturday and win by 25 seconds on sunday.

That's nothing, a 26-year old Rossi would've won from the back. :p

But in all seriousness, it has been like this for a while now. Since Stoner's title on a Ducati it has been a two-horse race between Honda and Yamaha. Going further back, it seems like there was always 1 or 2 riders on 1 or 2 bikes that were miles ahead. Three-ways between manufacturers seem to have been very rare. One difference now is each team has two riders that are way ahead of the field, whereas back in the day Doohan would annihilate the field and you'd see Okada and Criville on the same bikes derping around and finishing off the podium quite often, allowing other riders and bikes to mix it up.

The Grand Prix Commission met at the Valencia GP and agreed rule changes affecting all classes for 2016.
The Grand Prix Commission, composed of Messrs. Carmelo Ezpeleta (Dorna, Chairman), Ignacio Verneda (FIM CEO), Herve Poncharal (IRTA) and Takanao Tsubouchi (MSMA) in the presence of Javier Alonso (Dorna) and Mike Trimby (IRTA, Secretary of the meeting), in a meeting held on 7 November in Valencia, made the following decisions:

Technical Regulations Effective Season 2016

Moto3 Chassis

The list of performance parts will be increased to include radiators and/or heat exchangers and air boxes.

In the interest of safety, Manufacturers/Teams will only be allowed to remove material (Cutting, Skimming) from the bodywork and the seat. All other performance parts must remain as standard.

All other chassis parts, not listed as performance parts or as sensors, may be upgraded as required, either by the manufacturer or the team, without the need for homologation.

Regulation 2.6.4.i. which defines a list of setting parts is no longer relevant, and will be removed from the regulations.

Moto3 Sensors

In the interests of cost saving Manufacturers will be permitted to include in their price list sensors from multiple suppliers.

Moto3 Transmission

The maximum allowed ratios for the primary drive is increased from two to three.

Moto3 Wild Card Engines

To improve chances of participation at a reasonable cost, Wild Card riders mays use any engine previously homologated for 2014 or 2015.

“Wings” on Fairings – All Classes

In the interests of safety, on wings fitted as an integral part of the fairing all edges must have a minimum radius of 2.5 mm.

Tyre Supply – MotoGP Class

The Official Tyre Supplier will remain at all times the owner of all tyres provided to the Teams. The Teams are required to return all tyres to the Official Supplier at the end of each event or test.

It was clearly an act out of frustration, but I still feel that Marquez was turning in on him when a normal person would've just run wide. I've seen riders elbow each other before if one of them was leaning on the other or getting too close. Marquez's past also makes it easy to believe that he would be inclined to ''invade your space''. He's ridden in to the back of Pedrosa, he's chopped Bautista's nose off.

watched the race again yesterday on supersport select and i can only race Crashquez could have easily overtook Jlo with 5 laps to go and Daniel would not have had any trouble passing him 4 laps later.bodyguard.jpg
but after pulling a miketyson/luissuarez maybe rossi deserved what he got

As opposed to, I don't know, say, maybe a grid penalty?
Missing the big picture here boys. MotoGP is owned by Dorna, a Spanish company. The podium had three Spaniards on it and the WC is Spanish... The organiser were probably clinking Champagne glasses for a job well done over the last two weeks of the championship. What they missed while they were celebrating was a Spanish crowd, at a Spanish race, booing the three Spaniards on the podium.
You may not agree with me about VR, but that man brings something to MotoGP no one before has... Everyone adores him, everyone.
When the Italian goes we have a Spanish, not World championship on our hands. The deck will be stacked... Watch, Rossi retires and the second Yamaha ride will go to Pol Espargo. When Dani goes Maverick Vinales will get his seat. And so it will go... Just saying.

I also noticed the support Rossi had in Spain. Every pass was roared on by the Spanish crowd.

MotoGP will literally have its heart ripped out when Rossi retires. The only other rider in recent years that could charm fans around the world was Simoncelli.

:( Rossi's best mate... Agreed.
