You mean a cheapie 3rd party unit jobbie approved by VW then yes could work. Kinda like how former guys Daihatsu did a similar move for the local exclusive "Diva" model.

I had a Polo Vivo 1.4 up until a month ago, trust me, the standard audio system isn't great, especially when playing music via BT.For R200k I agree but the R&D associated with putting a (branded) touch screen system in the old dash would not be feasible.
I still bet you this system is better than the crappy system in the R500k Tucson!

Oh yes indeed! When trading in they barely gave my Vivo a thorough inspection. They have already sold it, it barely stayed a month there, lol!Only thing I'd describe as "great" about a Vivo is the resale value.
