Those seats!

Those seats and that steering wheel... They could have at least put in a touch screen infotainment, that one looks like it was the top of the range radio for 2006.

Those seats are not 2006. They're 1982. Brakpan 1982.

For R200k I agree but the R&D associated with putting a (branded) touch screen system in the old dash would not be feasible.

I still bet you this system is better than the crappy system in the R500k Tucson!

Not really sure a lot of R&D is required to put in a double din touch screen device :). We aren't talking a full on controls your car, but something that can do navigation, probably running android like those android ones you can get.

You mean a cheapie 3rd party unit jobbie approved by VW then yes could work. Kinda like how former guys Daihatsu did a similar move for the local exclusive "Diva" model.

something like that yup :-). I mean it's a freaking 15 year old designed body with a stock standard double din, no fancy fascia plate or anything really.

I had a Polo Vivo 1.4 up until a month ago, trust me, the standard audio system isn't great, especially when playing music via BT.

Only thing I'd describe as "great" about a Vivo is the resale value.

Oh yes indeed! When trading in they barely gave my Vivo a thorough inspection. They have already sold it, it barely stayed a month there, lol!

People in this country can't get enough of that 12 year old "new" VW.
