Very good looking car but I've never liked the Sportback, it looks like a small station wagon. The coupe has always been my favourite.

This car will compete the BMW M2, I would take the M2 over this.

I really like this, particularly the front. Hopefully Audi again provide the option to black out the sliver elements, it would look more beastly.

EDIT: Also, I don't like the roofrails. makes it look like a squished wagon. And if the hatch looks this good, the sedan will look awesome, thought I would like to see more of the Clubsport in it.

A3 coupe (which doesn't exist)? Or TT?

No, this will compete with the M-variant of the 1-series.

There is definitely a S3 coupe, it's sexy.

The current RS3 competes with the 1M. Since there isn't a new 1M the new RS3 will compete with the new M2, they will be released around the same time. Also, most reviewers compare the 2 series to the A3 series because they are priced more similarly, see Audi S3 vs BMW m235i.

You must be referring to the S3 hatch, then.

The current RS3 competes with the 1M. Since there isn't a new 1M the new RS3 will compete with the new M2, they will be released around the same time. Also, most reviewers compare the 2 series to the A3 series because they are priced more similarly, see Audi S3 vs BMW m235i.

They're compared because they were each company's performance vehicles in their respective classes and model ranges. But they are not the same class of vehicle. The 1M competed with the RS3 locally simply because it was closer in price to the RS3, and was seen as a subset of the 1-series range, not a separate model as the TT was. So on the basis of 1-series vs. A3-series, it made sense.

The M2 will compete with the next TT RS because it is a separate model from the 1-series, and the next 1M or successor will compete with the RS3.
