2016 Chevrolet Spark

My wife had a Spark LS (2008 model). It was such an amazing little car and never gave us a day's hassle.

I think DA-Lion hs a Chevy Spark. He can give you some advice and how it feels and the drive, etc.

The spark is one of the most expensive cars to have, according to : http://www.kinseyreport.co.za

The service costs are competitive but body panels etc are expensive.

The suzuki swift was cheaper vs the Spark and the swift isn't a common car.

Actually, my FIL arranged for the dealer to bring one to the house for a test drive. It is a truly ugly vehicle.

My missus just doesn't like the look of it, seeing as it's for her daily use I'm somewhat obliged to take that into account.

I think by now she's looked at everything in that class but I'll ask. :o

Fortunately we found a Spark LT in Uitenhage so we're going to arrange for a test drive and go from there. Like they say... happy wife, happy ending... or something like that.

I appreciate the help/advice/recommendations given so far.

With insurance why would you worry about the cost of body panels? Also are you going to go around hitting things all the time? Service costs are where you should look and from the invoices I've seen they aren't bad, okay I've not paid a cent as they were still under the service plan.

Ai my friend maybe I'm blind I don't see anything ugly about Honda Brio maybe those of us who drive little brio have a serious problem. Anywhere I can't force you to buy it lets get you a car buddy have you looked at Nissan Micra (the new shape) one also have a look at Mitsubishi Mirage nice car but few in the roads. But I prefer the new Chev Spark, Suzuki Swift or Daihatsu Sirion (the only sad part about little Sirion you will struggle with service and parts) but above all nice car

The up! is a good car, relatively refined and quiet, with a good ride, but just be aware of the fact that it is very under powered. It's fine around town, and ok once it gets up to speed (and it can stay there all day), but getting it up to speed takes very long. It's also very light on fuel, around town and on the open road.

My wife has an up! and drives more than double my weekly distance, using almost the same amount of fuel I use. Granted, she drives open road, and I sit in traffic constantly. And that is with me owning a diesel.

I drive a 2011 Spark. LS model I think
Brilliant little car.

165 000 km on the clock, have not had a single issue.

Definitely looking at getting a new model in the near future.
 
FiestaST do you want a ride in my new Honda Brio nice little car I really don't understand what you guys have against brio. I have seen ugly cars dude but brio is cute from the front and on the side the back not ayoba other that I don't see anything ugly about little brio.

Brio is like that hot girl curves in the right places but no boot at the back FiestaST how about that ride in my all new Honda brio

The VW Up is 10 x better than the Spark. In terms of handling, refinement and resale.

The Sparks engine is also under powerd, the VW Up is safer in a crash and the Spark experiences body roll.

Hell, even the Suzuki Splash is a better vehicle than the Spark.

I watched a few reviews of the Spark and most comment on the bad handling.


I personally dislike the Spark, there are better ways to spend that money but I understand that some have a preference for a particular brand.
