2016 Chevrolet Spark

The VW Up is 10 x better than the Spark. In terms of handling, refinement and resale.

The Sparks engine is also under powerd, the VW Up is safer in a crash and the Spark experiences body roll.

Hell, even the Suzuki Splash is a better vehicle than the Spark.

I watched a few reviews of the Spark and most comment on the bad handling.

I personally dislike the Spark, there are better ways to spend that money but I understand that some have a preference for a particular brand.

I have never driven a Spark so I can't comment on that. But the ride in the up! really is good. When it comes time to replace the up! I'll most probably want to replace it with a newer model up!, but it will have to have more power. I hated the up! at first, but the test drive took me completely by surprise. Ended up buying it as a second car.

I have driven both the Up and Spark. Chalk and Cheese. The Up is a better drive.

Even the Tata bolt was a better drive. I was really impressed by the bolt.

The Up! is nice but the only ones in our price range atm are 3-door and that dog won't hunt.

Up! has the best big-car feel period. Matter closed.

If it suits everyone lifestyle that is another story.

I agree. I didnt like the drive of the Spark and prefered the Up.

I don't want to sound like Gwyneth Paltrow(everybody hates her cos she tells you how to live your life. She is condescending and obnoxious).

Different strokes for different folks.

There is big difference between big-car feel & being a physically bigger car lol.

Big-car feel would imply it rides the best in the class; it has the best NVH; the door closes with a reassuring thud; the overall build feels like a class above etc.

Wrt all of the Up! is the best in the "budget" segment.

I am also talking about that meneer :) It is funny you mention the thud when the door closes. That was one of the first thing that I noticed about the Tata when I first test drove it. It has that nice thud when you close it. The Bolt feels more spacious to me than the up inside and I have not yet noticed any rattles etc. What I really really love though is that the car is nice and high, so it is so much easier to get in and out of it, specially as a tall guy.

Are you still looking buddy

Me? No. The missus got her Spark LT yesterday and she's over the moon. Thanks for everyone's help!

Now to find a buyer for her old car.

Bit late but a second hand Fiat 500 is also a very good option in this class.

Solid drive and you can feel its a vehicle of high qaulity.

Very safe with 7 airbags. Even a knee airbag for the driver.

Overpriced if bought new but very reasonably priced 2nd hand.

Bought one for my daughter for varsity and very happy to say that I have no regrets. Awesome little vehicle.

Yeah, a little late but even if it hadn't been I wouldn't have considered a Fiat - too many bad experiences in my lifetime with the brand.

Strange thing about this spark - it doesn't seem to have rear fog lights. There's a switch for the front ones but nothing for the back.

Strange indeed because the older models had it in their rear bumper. Reverse light on the right and the fog light on the left.

But still a nifty little car as well.

Plz check your inbox. I dropped you a pm about something else.

Thanx
