So it's not long till the new E is announced.

MB had shown official pics of the interior & it looks brilliant

"Many of the biggest changes for the new E-Class come inside. The new E-Class will come in three different specifications, dubbed Avantgarde, AMG Line and Exclusive. AMG Line and Exclusive models receive a brand new widescreen digital instrument cluster display comprising two 12.3-inch screens.

The two screens are both configurable by the driver and offer a choice between three different driving themes - Classic, Sport and Progressive - which change the graphics of the display.

Entry-level Avantgarde models make do instead with traditional dials with a colour display, and an 8.4-inch central infotainment screen.

Other changes include the adoption of a wireless charging mat in the centre console and a USB connector for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality. A further two USB connections and an SD card slot can be found under the centre armrest."

I'd give my left nut for one of these in AMG s spec...

What a beaut. Hopefully the instrument cluster also goes to the c class some day.

Will buy myself one in 10 years time :D

I dont know hey.

I'm not convinced all this tech will age well. As much as I like tech if I was buying I would probably go for some high quality old fashioned dials. Look at the Veyron, it is now ancient but the dash still looks like it was made by Rolex.

10 years is enough for the beta testing to be complete ;)

Price? Id say close to 1 bar for the base model.

The car has not even been announced my man. It's waaay to early to guesstimate.

For comparison the current entry level model goes for:

If I was to guess I would say starting at R700k depending on the base engine.

Def not 1 bar for a base model.

The digital screen mimicking the old round dials does not look good. Hopefully it will look better in real life.
Where is the foot pedals? I don't see any.
