VW have managed to spin another model by offering the citizens of SA the GTS:

Considering the strong market support for the preceding Polo Vivo 1.6 GT derivative, it is clear that the Volkswagen budget offering's appeal is not only restricted to the entry-level models. We tried out the new GTS flagship to discover why.

I can think of better ways to spend R200k, TBH

(I didn't see a thread on this and was wondering what the general consensus on here was on yet another Vivo variant)

got exited for a moment there, read Volvo for some reason...:erm:

But still seems like a good car.

I saw an article in this month's Car mag which made me wonder who would actually pay R200K for a Vivo?

I'd hate to spend the better part of 3 years (assuming you keep it until the warranty expires) living with an interior and dash from a decade ago

Look its a VW Polo, so it will probably hold a goodish resale value.

But then.. Look its a VW Polo, for R200k. :wtf:

I made the thread because there wasn't one.

I certainly didn't go looking for your pics inside a mirror and respray thread:crylaugh:

VWSA were hugely successful in selling the MK1 Golf for 30 years after the Golf MK2 was launched by fitting all kinds of stickers and bits to it. Don't hate they player, hate the fscks who keep forking out the money for it and creating demand.
When you slap a GTS badge on something with only 77KW, you are taking the piss. Period.
What an ignorant statement. Everyone knows that a 'Sport' badge adds significant amounts of extra power and top speeds.

Just spotted in the wild

I like the touches VW have added, not to say its a great looking car, but these little touches are nice for someone in their 20s looking for a reliable car.
