So all bakkie threads I make generate a fair bit of interest. What about the Honda bakkie from the States. This is the latest Honda Ridgeline.

"Honda unveiled the all-new 2017 Ridgeline truck at the 2016 North American International Auto Show, once again challenging conventional thinking in the pickup truck market with Honda-exclusive features, design and technology that help Ridgeline set new benchmarks for versatility, capability and comfort in a midsize pickup."

3.5-liter, direct-injected i-VTEC™ V-6 engine ,they did not go the turbo diesel route like the ranger and hilux ,it might pay off for them!

Some people prefer nice big V6!

Interior looks better than most though.

Also think it may look better in the flesh.

That will sell here. There will probably be a "Wildtrack" version that will change the looks dramatically.

nice bakkie, never seen a Honda Bakkie before,

problem is will NEVER come to SA though as LHD only, make for the Yanks exclusivly

if they sell it in japan, then there's a chance it will come to SA.

This 'pick up truck' is exclusive to North America. They use a petrol engine, as Muricans don't know what diesel is.

If you want to make threads for US only pick-ups at the Detroit show, pick the nice ones! Where is the Titan Warrior?

That's not offensive on the outside, and the interior is actually quite nice (reminds me a bit of a bakkie-fied HRV).

3.5L V6 sounds like the 200kw lump found in the latest US-spec Accord, not a bad engine for what it's supposed to do.

It'll never make it to SA, but nice to see nonetheless.

You're welcome. I try to be global; not just SA-specific cars
