2017 Renault Alaskan

Lol this guy...look at post #2.

Don't look the same

Apart from one being a double cab, I'd respectfully differ with you. Different headlight and radiator grill shapes is about the extent of the difference.

I'm not going to answer that... You're posting in a thread full of answers. Seek and you shall find.

Good on you QT; no answer/explanation is needed. My 1st line mentioned the fact that & then the countless links I posted mentioned it as well...

There is no need for anyone to explain anything about the Navara vs Alaskan story....

Is there any car brand not building something based on the Navara? If I was in the market for a double cab why would I buy a Renault or Mercedes based on a Navara, instead of just buying the Navara since if any manufacturer knows how to get their vehicle right it would probably the one who came up with the original plan?

Cause the renault version will be cheaper with more kit than the navara, and the merc will be stupid price.

Putting this here...

"Renault is hoping to introduce the Duster Oroch double-cab bakkie in South Africa in 2017. "

The Alaskan looks good. The Duster Oroch does not.

The Duster Oroch is a great bakkie, I'd love one. Most people don't need 4 wheel drive, and I see them not offering it in the Oroch to protect Alaskan sales.

The Alaskan looks awesome, but knowing our typical ZA market they will ship them here stripped of 90% of their features and sell us an over-priced 1.5dci in a manual...

The Oroch i need more time on, its just not doing it for me maybe because i expect it to look like a Duster at the back and its not.

Pity if they're not bringing the Oroch in 4x4. That's where the SUV sticks out for me
