2017 VW Tiguan (2nd Generation)

I have yet to see an infotainment system in a car that has this issue. Even those that are a decade old.
You have yet to see an infotainment system restart itself or one with bugs? Not even on Youtube?

I've watched many reputable Car reviews for various model; the one system that tends to hang/crash/restart is the Sync 2 in the newer Fords.

The fancier they get... The more complicated the code higher chance of bugs. Can you imagine the bugs in the up and coming Android Auto and Apple Car play. App has stopped responding messages. Imagine that on your ref counter. . Even the Japs have some bugs on their newest systems honda, mazda check out youtube.

I would know my screen was just randomly dead for no reason the other day and never again or before. The apps and everything was still running, Pandora playing but the buttons were not responding and everything restarted itself. To be fair my firmware is not the latest but you see where this is going?

I suspect the new model will cost an arm and a leg and a uterus

Pricing in Pounds is pretty much the same as the previous generation, so should be moderately expensive but still attainable.

Like an oxygen tank?
No. It contains something called AdBlue. It's a urea solution that, combined with a catalyst of some form, reduces emotions from diesels. It gets used up and you need to fill it up. I wonder how that'll work in SA, if they bother to bring it here.

All post 2015 VW diesels have the AdBlue system. Costs about R300 to refill after about R30 000km. Covered under maintenance plan, checked and topped up during services.
