A former SA favourite. This is the latest US model.

Toyota Camry, the best-selling car in America for the past 15 years, is about to ruffle some feathers. The eighth-generation sedan has gone through a total evolution, from a proven, dependable and safe car to one that also possesses a more exciting and emotional character, thanks to its newfound sporty performance and style.

The new Toyota Camry utilizes TNGA (Toyota New Global Architecture) which represents a completely new strategy to the way the company designs, engineers, and packages its vehicles. TNGA retains all of Toyota's traditional values of superlative build quality and safety while injecting a fun driving experience that plays on all the senses. The physical manifestation is the usage of a new engine, transmission and GA-K platform.

Are Camrys ever going to come back big time in Sa, the 90's Camrys were super popular, then flatline and no more.

What is Toyota Sa's strategy with them in the Sa market?

Zero chance of them coming back. The market for non-German executive sedans is minuscule & shrinking further in many markets not just SA.

that does look very nice, but what would be our engine choices and equipment styles?
Would this be a normal Toyota thing with really mad and expensive pricing for just a shell with 4 wheels? (My Toyo needs a replacement )

I was in the states earlier this year and I can tell you that they get all the best looking models of cars. The normal Toyota's looked stunning, but then they downgrade the entire thing for RSA. :(
Happens with all models. We get the worst of the bunch.

that is the price we pay for living in a 3rd world country,
especially one as broke and backwards as RSA.

Ah the Camry. The perfect lifestyle accompaniment to a sexless marriage, irritating children, and flatulent pets.

I would love to get this car - to me, it's so sexy to look at (remember, this is to me) and in EMS, we use the older models - Love it, regardless but it's so expensive even second hand.

For a Camry. the front bumper is too aggressive, but reading up on the car, Im excited for this model, not even the 86 had me this excited.
