Chevrolet has updated the interior of the C8 Corvette and removed the WALL OF BUTTONS

All 2026 model year Corvettes will get more screens, a redesigned centre console and new paint options

Well, in a rather ironic twist of fate, it would seem the Americans are now taking down walls rather than building them. You see, Chevrolet has updated the interior of the Corvette for the 2026 model year, and in doing so it has removed its controversial WALL OF BUTTONS.

Yep, all variants of the C8 Corvette have been updated, so all now get their HVAC controls moved to a more conventional position under the central infotainment screen. Thankfully they’re still proper buttons, and there’s now a hero handle for the passenger to grab onto when the driver shouts 'WATCH THIS'.

Elsewhere on the redesigned centre console there are new cupholders with ambient lighting to give your coffee a proper glow, plus a new USB-C port for the passenger below the grab handle. There’s also a new drive mode switch near the gear selector, plus a wireless charging pad with a cover so that your phone doesn’t fly off when you boot the throttle.

Chevy said the removal of the WALL OF BUTTONS (sorry, we’ll stop that now) means the cockpit now provides “a more open environment between driver and passenger”.
