Hyundai Grand i10 Nios has been launched with prices ranging between Rs 4.99 lakh and Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

- The Grand i10 is available in two engines across a total of 10 variants in eight colour options.

- Grand i10 rivals the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Swift, Maruti Suzuki Ignis, Honda Brio, Tata Tiago and the Ford Figo - Hyundai Grand i10 Nios is the first BS6 petrol powered car from Hyundai.

The Grand i10 Nios gets some impressive features including an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto connectivity and Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control, Arkamys sound tune, rear AC vents, a 5.2-inch digital MID and wireless phone charging.

Safety features on offer include dual front airbags, rear parking camera and sensors, ABS with EBD, and more.

Hyundai Grand i10 carries forward the same set of 1.2-litre petrol and diesel engines. Hyundai is offering both engines with an AMT (automated manual transmission) option.

2019 Hyundai i10 gets fresh looks and class-leading tech

Compact city car grows up with more dynamic styling, more space and new technology

The new Hyundai i10 is set to become the most advanced car in its class when it arrives early next year, with a comprehensive set of technology and safety upgrades.

The third-generation compact city car, which will arrive in the UK early next year and is set for a public debut at next week’s Frankfurt motor show, has been given a dynamic exterior overhaul to appeal to younger customers. Extended rear wheel arches have added 20mm to the width and the roofline has been lowered by 20mm over the outgoing model.

Hyundai has extended the i10's wheelbase by 40mm, but smaller front and rear overhangs mean overall length has only increased by 5mm. Rear passengers benefit from extra leg room, while a 252-litre boot space is one of the best in the class.

Effort has been made to improve driving dynamics over the old model, with a more progressive brake pedal and more responsive steering.

As with the current i10, the daytime running lights are located within the grille, which has been made wider to reflect Hyundai’s current styling. 16in alloy wheels can also be added as an option for the first time.

Interior materials, connectivity features and safety systems have filtered down from the rest of the range, including an 8.0in touchscreen that Hyundai says is the largest available in the segment. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support is included, as well as wireless smartphone charging and an optional rear-view camera. Automatic emergency braking and lane departure assistance systems, which are still rare inclusions in city cars, will also feature.

Hyundai’s Bluelink connected car platform can add app-controlled location tracking, live fuel prices and the ability to send navigation directions from your smartphone to the car.

Say hello to the new (Euro-spec) Hyundai i10 entry-level hatchback

Hyundai has taken the wraps off its new European-spec i10 ahead of the third-generation entry-level hatchback’s debut at the 2019 Frankfurt International Motor Show.

Of course, the new Grand i10 Nios – which is likely the variant destined for South Africa – was unveiled in India in August.

So, what about this fresh-faced Euro-spec version? Well, besides the updated design, the Korean firm says the newcomer features “comprehensive connectivity” and an “advanced safety package”.

The new i10 is some 20 mm wider than its predecessor, while its roof is 20 mm closer to the ground. Hyundai claims the luggage compartment can swallow 252 litres, while the boot’s loading lip is 29 mm lower than before. In Europe, Hyundai will offer newly designed 16-inch alloy wheels as an option.

At launch, two naturally aspirated petrol engine options will be offered: a 1,0-litre three-cylinder with 49 kW and 96 N.m torque, as well as a 1,2-litre four-cylinder with 62 kW and 118 N.m. A five-speed manual gearbox and an automated manual transmission with the same number of cogs will be available with both engines.

Inside, Hyundai claims there’s a feeling of “extra width” since the air-vents protrude into the doortrim. The facia, meanwhile, gains a 3D honeycomb pattern that is repeated on the door panels. The new i10 furthermore features an extra open storage compartment above the cubby hole.

At first glance, you'll see a fresh and updated design, while under the skin there are big changes in the connectivity and active safety departments. This all-new Hyundai i10 is designed, developed and made in Europe.

When compared to the outgoing model, the new i10 has a lowered roof (20 mm) and a wider body (20 mm), and if you're wanting some more visual oomph, 16-inch alloy wheels are available. The cabin has also been given a refresh and is aimed at a youthful audience. The boot boasts a volume capacity of 252 litres and the boot's lift-in height has been dropped by 29 mm, making access a little easier.

The 8-inch colour touchscreen includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and there's a wireless charging pad to ensure your devices never die. Hyundai is also offering its app as well as LIVE services which range from real-time traffic info to weather. The new i10 also offers up forward collision avoidance tech as well as lane-keeping assist, driver attention warning and intelligent speed limit warning.

2020 Hyundai i10 N Line warm city car makes its debut

Compact city car grows up with more dynamic styling, more space and new technology

Hyundai has revealed a warm N Line variant of its upcoming i10 city car, which is set to become the most advanced car in its class when it arrives early next year.

The i10 will become the fourth N Line model, following the i30 hatchback, i30 Fastback and Tucson when it arrives in 2020. It will be offered with a turbocharged 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine producing 99bhp and 127lb ft of torque, making it the most powerful i10 variant on sale.

Redesigned bumpers and front grille, exclusive 16in alloy wheels and angular LED daytime running lights set the i10 N Line apart from the rest of the range. It also features a rear skid plate and diffuser, along with bespoke colour options. Inside, it recieves an N-branded steering wheel and gear shift lever, metal pedals and upgraded seats.

Also, Kia and Hyundai are the same in the same way that Audi and VW are.

Hyundai has revealed the new i10 N Line at the Frankfurt motor show, handing its new entry-level hatchback sporty styling and an “exclusive” engine.

Exterior design enhancements for the N Line variant include redesigned bumpers and grille, model-specific 16-inch alloy wheels and LED daytime running lights. There’s also an “N Line” emblem, the i10 logo in red, a skid plate and a faux-diffuser.

Inside the European-spec model you’ll find an N-branded steering wheel and gear shift lever, as well as red air vent rings and metal pedals. In addition, the Korean firm claims the seats offer “more support for performance-oriented driving precision”.

And under the bonnet? Well, Hyundai says an “exclusive” 1,0 T-GDi engine has been adopted, offering 74 kW and 172 N.m torque. The turbocharged three-cylinder mill is mated to the front axle via a five-gear manual gearbox.

Hyundai i10 N Line - Smallest N Yet?

Hyundai has shown off the new i10 compact city car with an N Line kit at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show.

This isn't a performance variant though as the designation is 'N Line' as opposed to 'N'. So while it looks the part, it certainly won't boast any breathtaking performance figures.

Hyundai released just a handful of images, showing the exterior of the vehicle as well as the cabin. It's visually punchy, with a decent body kit with red detailing, as well as attractive 16-inch alloy wheels. If you look closely, there are also some really nice LED daytime running lights.
