My girlfriends contract was coming to an end recently and the call centre phoned her offering her the R199 for 10+10, so seems like it's still around to stay for a while.

Same here. They gave me 10+10 about a year ago. Telkom Mobile is certainly on the ball with this one!

Mine's up for renewal again come November. Have had it for about 4 years and still paying R199. Hopefully they renew it at that rate.

Mine was automatically renewed during March and I’m still paying R199. How do you check which bundle you have?

There shouldn't be any automatic renewals unless you request it, so in theory yours should be whatever it was before March but have moved on to month-to-month

Would I be allowed to change it to the new bundle?

I was offered to 10+10 bundle if I renewed my contract, told them I'd prefer to stay month-to-month rather than go on to a new 24 month tie-up (midnight data is pretty useless for me).

I’m in a similar position as I rarely use my laptop after midnight. Thanks for the advice. :)

I am always surprised when I read this. Don't other people schedule Windows/Steam updates after midnight or schedule their random downloads (As a developer I am always downloading random stuff to play with, etc.

I mainly use the mobile account to upload large files or when I’m away from the office or home. It is seldom that I exceed 3GB/per month.

I'm on the 10+10 and most of mine goes to waste. Except during months where there's a lot to stream (eg wimbledon this month)

Nah, we have internet at work...

I tend to play around with stuff at home quite a bit and most places I've worked at get tense if you can't justify the stuff you are downloading. Sadly a lot of companies don't really have a mature attitude towards responsible internet use.

I have an ADSL line at home for that, I rarely need midnight mobile data.

Not worth extending this for another 24months. Better capped ADSL packages are becoming available?
